Organizational Units1 in SAP, are the elements or structures representing the business organisations, and are used in reporting.
For example, Client (across the various modules), Company (FI), Controlling Area (CO), Plant (logistics), Sales Organization (SD). Purchasing Organization Employee Group (HR) etc.
